Jake's Story

Jake was a bubbly, beautiful 24 year old until he started to experience headaches at the end of October 2012. He repeatedly visited his GP & was treated for migraines. At the beginning December 2012 Jake took a 10 day holiday to Thailand with his older brother Josh, where he suffered a seizure & went into a coma. Jake was rushed to hospital & found to have a large mass on the left frontal lobe of his brain. Despite emergency surgery to remove what we then knew was a Glioblastoma, a deadly type of brain tumour, Jake passed away on 24th December 2012, just 8 weeks after his headaches began, with his family beside him. We want to raise awareness of Brain Tumours to prevent other families from experiencing such a devastating loss.
